You know you have a powerful voice when you sing not once but twice on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ live — just one night after performing at the American Music Awards!
Meghan Trainor, 21, took the stage to kick off the Dancing with the Stars finale on Nov. 23 and sang her fun song “Better When I’m Dancin'” and well as her ballad “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” — and both were seriously amazing. This girl has one heck of a voice! She even showed off some of her dance moves!
Meghan kicked off the show with “Better When I’m Dancin'” and then a few minutes later performed a romantic version of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” while Peta Murgatroyd and Artem Chigvintsev danced. Honestly, it may have been the best she’s ever sounded. We’re not sure how she did it; just one night before she went to the AMAs and yes, while everyone is talking about her make out sesh, she also performed “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” there, before having Charlie Puth join her on stage. Recently, Meghan opened up about her new album — some of it upbeat, some of it very personal — like this one. “I wrote it in Nashville about… you know when you have those nightmares that your brother or sister or boyfriend just dies? And you wake up sweating and crying and then you have to go check on them to make sure they’re still alive and they are and you’re like, ‘Oh my God – thank God,'” she told Digital Spy. “It’s like I’m going to love you like I’m going to lose you because I know what it feels like from that dream and I’m not going to let it happen.”
Well, she’s definitely come a long way since “All About That Bass” — even though it’s still totally a jam. Did you love Meghan’s performance, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
