So sweet! Blake Shelton had nothing but praise after Gwen Stefani’s American Music Awards performance, calling it the ‘best of the night.’ While he wasn’t spotted at the event, he made sure to let the world know how proud he was of his lady via his Twitter account!
Gwen Stefani‘s number one fan Blake Shelton, 39 thought her performance was the best of the night at the AMA’s. He let his feelings be known when a fan tweeted him that his 46-year-old lady-love was the highlight of the show, to which he simply said “Agreed!” Aw, we’re so adoring these two and their support of one another! Especially when she had to sing such a heartbreaking song about the demise of her marriage. At least she has Blake’s loving arms to comfort her now.
Gwen blew us away with her performance of “Used To Love You” on the AMA stage. She wrote the song right after her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, 50, came to an end and it’s a clearly emotional for her to pour her heart into it in front of a live audience. But she did just that and her fans went wild, so much so that when one tweeted that Gwen’s was THE performance of the evening, Blake took to his Twitter account to note “Agreed!”
It’s clear Blake knew ahead of time how awesome Gwen’s performance would be. Before the big event started, he tweeted “Prepare for greatness.. #AmericanMusicAwards,” with that praise no doubt being directed towards his incredibly talented girlfriend. How adorable! He was even spotted doing a Facetime session with Gwen before the big show, so you just know he told her to knock ’em dead! You can pick up Gwen Stefani’s ‘Used To Love You” by clicking here.
While there weren’t any sightings of Blake at the big event itself, it was clear he was watching her performance from afar and so proud of his amazing lady! We can’t wait for the Nov. 23 live show of The Voice to see if their giddy feelings towards each other show up on air like they did the week prior, when they even had PDA filled commercial breaks!
