Hello, it’s me. No, it’s not Adele — it’s Miss Piggy. The star of ‘The Muppets’ replaced the ‘Hello’ singer in a hilarious promo featuring her ex, Kermit The Frog, during the AMAs. While Piggy longs for her Kermie, does this mean these two might get back together? Click to watch!
It’s true: “Hello” by Adele, 28, is perfect for almost every relationship, including the broken love between Miss Piggy and Kermit The Frog. Miss Piggy channeled Adele in a hilarious and heartfelt promo for The Muppets, leaving fans laughing through their tears.
During the hilarious and heartbreaking promo, which debuted during the American Music Awards on Nov. 22, Miss Piggy plays the role of Adele in “Hello.” Of course, Kermit would play Piggy’s former lover. We have to say that Miss Piggy pulled off a convincing Adele performance. Perhaps she can stand in whenever Adele is feeling under the weather? Though Adele and this song is known for bringing people to tears, this is kind of funny – especially when Kermit gets nailed by a keyboard.
What hasn’t been funny is the split between The Muppets most famous couple. Fans of The Muppets haven’t gotten over the shocking, heartbreaking news that Miss Piggy and Kermit were no more. The couple split after nearly 40 years together, claiming that they “grew apart.” If Kermit and Piggy couldn’t make it work, what hope is there for any of us?
However, it didn’t take long for Kermit to find a new squeeze in his life. He was linked in a new romance with Denise, an executive at ABC. While Kermit was reluctant to call Denise his “girlfriend,” things were going well between them.
As for Piggy, she was first reportedly dating Josh Groban (did Kat Dennings know?) before she was reportedly in talks to star in the next season of The Bachelorette “Don’t think we haven’t been talking,” Piggy told Jimmy Kimmel during an appearance on his late night show. “Nothing to announce right now, but as much as I date, I do have high standards.”
Maybe Piggy’s standards means all her loves have to be small, have flippers and be an attractive shade of green? Does this possibly mean that Kermit and Piggy are getting back together?
What did you think of this promo, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Kermit and Miss Piggy will get back together?
