Vamp was the name of the game for Demi this year. The “Cool For The Summer” singer showed off her bold sense of style on the red carpet, slipping into a sparkly floor-length gown that was covered in an abstract black and gold sequin pattern. The look was a bit more covered up than we’re used to seeing from Demi as of late, but glamorous all the same. The long-sleeved number featured an elegant scalloped neckline and hugged her gorgeous curves in all the right places. To complete the ensemble, Demi added a bunch of black midi rings (nearly every finger was covered) and a compact sparkly black clutch.
In keeping with the Old Hollywood look, Demi wore her black hair in a wavy, flapper girl-inspired updo. With her perfectly sculpted brows drawing attention to her eyes, Demi chose a black smokey eye that was heavily lined with black eyeliner and a matching deep burgundy red lip that gave off some major Dita Von Teese vibes.
Demi Lovato Performing With Alanis Morissette At The AMAs
Of course, Demi’s outfit wasn’t the only thing for fans to get excited about during the AMAs. On Nov. 19, Twitter Music announced that Demi would be joining the legendary Alanis Morissette on stage for a special performance. The duet was announced via the social media platform, and while the exact program hasn’t been announced yet, Digital Spy reports the pair will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill with a rendition of “You Oughta Know.”
Demi and Alanis join a long list of A-list performers tonight including Jennifer Lopez (who’s also hosting), Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, and The Weeknd. Needless to say, it’s going to be an EPIC night for music!
