Awww, this is so sweet! Blake Shelton was so stoked for his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani’s, big performance at the AMAs that he made sure his nearly 15 million followers would be tuning in. See his sweet message of support right here!
Blake Shelton was just as excited as the rest of us before Gwen Stefani’s performance at the American Music Awards on Nov. 22! Just moments before she was set to hit the stage, the country singer took to Twitter to show his love. You have to see his adorable tweet right here!
The 39-year-old kept it short and simple, but made it clear that he’s super excited for his lady. “Prepare for greatness.. #AmericanMusicAwards,” he wrote. Awww! I mean, we were already prepared for the amazingness Gwen was going to bring to the table, but this one got us even more pumped up.
Naturally, the 46-year-old totally delivered when she belted out her new single “Used To Love You,” which, interestingly, is an emotional track about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale. Blake obviously knows how hard it is for Gwen to sing this sad song, so it’s so sweet to see him pouring out his support publicly. Unfortunately, even though these two have gone pretty public with their new relationship at this point, they made a point not to be seen together at the show — Gwen walked the red carpet alone, keeping the focus entirely on her music.
Before the show, the No Doubt singer spent some quality time with her sons in Pasadena, Calif., and even though Blake didn’t join them for the outing, Gwen let him in on the fun via FaceTime. Photographers totally caught her video chatting with the 39-year-old during the fun day out…we love that they just can’t stand to be apart from each other! Luckily, they’ll get to spend a ton of time together at the beginning of this week — The Voice airs live on both Monday and Tuesday,
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Blake’s message for Gwen? Are you upset he didn’t come to the show?
