Literally, dead. Adele served as musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and for her second song of the evening, she went with the stunningly gorgeous, ‘When We Were Young.’ Watch it now– but ready the tissues first.
OMG, freaking slay. Adele, 27, dropped by Saturday Night Live on Nov. 21 to perform songs from her new album, 25, one of which was the completely sublime “When We Were Young.” Though it was her second performance of the evening, the powerhouse diva showed not an ounce of exhaustion– actually, she sounded better than ever. Watch it, like, this second!
Adele, being the seriously down to earth gal that she is, didn’t even swap outfits from her first performance of the evening. And honestly, why should she? Her black fringe dress was the perfect ensemble to let her vocals get all the attention.
In fact, Adele is so down home, the only bells and whistles which she adorned the stage with for her performance was a mere rug. It was literally as if Adele was giving us all a personal concert in our very own living rooms (could you imagine?).
So, yeah, Adele is basically slaying everything and everyone in her path right now. For starters, her highly anticipated new album, 25, dropped on Nov. 20, and that baby was breaking records before it even dropped! Her first single off the album, “Hello,” shattered the record for most views for a single video following its Oct. 23 release, beating out fellow heavy hitter, Taylor Swift.
There is truly no telling how much success this album will have, but like, it is safe to say very. Need we urge you watch this performance one more time for proof?
What did you think of Adele’s second performance? Was it even better than her first of the night?
