One Direction blew away ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Nov. 19, with an amazing outdoor concert that shut down Hollywood Boulevard! Thousands of overjoyed teenage girls – and their less than thrilled dads – got to see the band up close and personal for free.
One Direction always amazes us with their live performances, and they brought out all the stops on Jimmy Kimmel Live Nov. 19. They played an epic outdoor show to a sea of adoring fans in promotion of their new album Made In The A.M. The boys poured their hearts in their newest single “Perfect” as their tweener audience erupted with joy.
One Direction sang “Perfect,” with the gleaming lights of the El Capitan Theater in the background. Harry Styles –– who handles the main vocals on the song — looked super stylish in a black shirt unbuttoned to his chest with black and white floral print pants. Liam Payne looked fine in a shiny pink shirt and black skinny jeans, while Niall Horan kept it simple in a black jacket and white tee paired with black skinnies as well. Louis Tomlinson kept it casual in black jeans and a t-shirt. They then launched into “History” to close out the show, which noted that it would have the full concert of songs up on the JKL website later for all fans to view.
How Will They Spend Their One Year Hiatus?
Jimmy started out the interview earlier in the show by telling the audience, “Every single person on my staff has said these are the nicest guys.” So sweet! He asked what they plan to do when they’re going on hiatus in March 2016. “A lot of chilling out will probably happen,” Harry replied. Niall noted a little bit of travel could go down as well. “I’ve driven past some of the biggest monuments in the world but never actually stopped beside them,” he said. Jimmy completely avoided the elephant in the room, that being former member Zayn Malik, 22, bashing his former band in a recent interview. The last time 1D stopped by his show was almost exactly one year ago, on Nov. 20, 2014 when they were promoting Four and Zayn was still with the group. But unlike Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy didn’t broach the sensitive topic with the boys and kept things light hearted.
