Truly despicable. Donald Trump, a man who wants to be the next president, said he ‘absolutely’ supports a tracking system which would require all Muslims in the U.S. to register in a database.
Keep talking, dude. Donald Trump, 69, said he “would certainly implement” a Muslim tracking system in the United States, if he were elected president. But wait– it gets even more reprehensible, as the republican presidential wannabe goes on to describe said system, saying that all of the roughly 12 million Muslims in the country would be “signed up” at different points throughout the country. We have his full invective inside– if you think you can stomach it.
At a campaign event on Nov. 19 in Newton, Iowa, Trump was asked about the recent terrorist attacks in Paris which killed 129 people. Naturally, Trump’s first instinct was to jump to horrifying xenophobia. “I would certainly implement that,” Trump told MSNBC, speaking about a tracking system for Muslims living in the United States. “Absolutely,” he added just to, ya know, solidify his grossness.
Total discrimination aside, if you think such a system sounds completely unrealistic, don’t worry, Trump has a great plan. There will be “different places” for the country’s Muslims to register. Furthermore, he added, “it’s all about management,” and yes, all Muslims would “have to be” registered. “Our country has no management,” he said.
But it still does not stop there. “We have to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall,” he said. “It would stop people from coming into our country illegally,” he added (we know, try not to laugh yourself silly).
What do you think of Trump’s comments, HollywoodLifers? Are you as grossed out as we are, or is Trump right that we should take harsher measures in the U.S.?
