Miranda Lambert – We all know that if there is something worse than a breakup, it’s watching your ex blissfully find new love, seemingly minutes after your split. Arrggh! Here’s what you need to do, now!
Yes, it must be both heartbreaking and infuriating to see and hear about your ex-husband of four years so happy with Gwen, when you just divorced on July 20, 2015. How did he move on so fast? Does that mean he never really loved you? Yup, these are baffling questions that scores of heartbroken women and men have asked themselves…for centuries.
But Miranda, 32, there’s no good answer. Everyone responds to serious splits differently. Blake’s answer to the pain is to bond with his Voice co-star coach and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it. That’s why you need to move forward and make the most of your own very full, promising life.
You know in your heart that your and Blake’s love had run its course. You both decided that you needed to be free. But now as you transition into your new post-Blake life, you need to fill the holes in your heart and life with new plans and traditions.
Don’t obsess about Blake inviting Gwen and her kids to his Oklahoma ranch for Thanksgiving. Remember, Gwen herself is dealing with an ultra painful divorce, after 13 years of marriage and three young sons.
Why don’t you plan a “Friendsgiving” with all of your besties so you can experience a home full of friends and laughter on one of the biggest holidays of the year? Do not, I repeat, do NOT think that all you’ll want to do is chill out in your jammies alone on Thanksgiving with a carton of Rocky Road, instead of a turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings.
You made sure to celebrate your 32nd birthday on Nov. 11 with your besties at a Nashville bar, ironically called the Losers Bar & Grill – so you already understand what I’m talking about. Now, stick with that approach (minus the loser angle). You’re done with Blake but you have a fabulous future and no doubt, new love ahead. So eyes on the future, not on the past!
Do you agree HollywoodLifers? Does Miranda need to stop feeling stung by Blake and Gwen’s new romance and plan a fun Thanksgiving? Let me know.
