Another night, another epic Justin Bieber performance! This time the ‘Sorry’ singer took ‘The Tonight Show’ stage and yes, we loved EVERY second of his performance. Even better, the pop star got to put his street racing skills to the test alongside some of NASCAR’s finest.
Justin Bieber, 21, stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Nov. 17 to continue promoting his chart-topping new album, Purpose. With plenty of reason to celebrate the album’s release and successful first week, the Biebs gave a killer performance of his latest hit “Sorry,” and also did an amazing pre-taped car race called “The Tonight Show 500″ alongside Jimmy, fellow guest Jesse Tyler Ferguson and a slew of NASCAR stars – a race that the Biebs actually won!
Before taking the stage to perform, Justin was shown in a pre-taped bit where he “raced” against Jimmy and other guests, who were all paired with NASCAR gods. Justin was paired with current Sprint Cup champ Kevin Harvick and the two made a dynamic duo, racing their “car” (which was actually a souped up golf cart) through a series of cones and obstacles and on to victory. “I’ve learned a lot about street racing,” Justin remarked after his big win.
Later Justin performed “Sorry” with a little bit of help from Jimmy’s house band The Roots. Wearing a light gray beanie, baggy white t-shirt with a pinstriped shirt over it, he started the rendition in a very heartfelt tone, giving the song a much tender side, before blasting off into the more upbeat version after the first chorus. He was then joined onstage by four sexy female dancers in black crop tops showing off some fierce moves as Justin continued on rocking the house!
