Yikes! Jenny McCarthy has put Charlie Sheen on blast for knowing he was HIV positive for four years, but not telling any of his co-stars about it. She once played a love interest to Charlie on ‘Two And A Half Men’ and is furious that he could have put others at risk.
Jenny McCarthy, 43, is fuming mad that Charlie Sheen kept working in Hollywood without letting any of his co-stars know that he’s HIV positive. In the four years since he’s known he’s had the disease, he kept working on the TV show Anger Management after he left Two And A Half Men following his 2011 meltdown. Jenny worked with him while he was still on the CBS comedy, playing one of his many love interests. She now feels betrayed that a co-star would keep a secret like being HIV positive from his fellow actors. Read on for what Jenny had to say.
The blonde comedienne discussed Charlie’s HIV status her Dirty Sexy Funny Sirius XM radio show on Nov. 18, and was stunned that he kept it hidden. Jenny noted how strict Hollywood is with actors revealing any conditions they may have, especially if they’re doing a love scene with someone. “Before we do a job, we have to sign a piece of paper that says ‘do you have cold sores,’ you have to sign a release and show the medication,” she revealed. “If I have to be upfront about a herpe, how could you not be upfront about HIV?” she fumed.
“Being on Two and a Half Men myself and being on the show and playing a love interest, you would think that there would be some type of — I don’t want to say — criminal issue…but I don’t even know how to feel about that,” Jenny continued. “Look how many people have played his love interest on the show. It’s not that you can obviously get it through kissing, but still it’s a big deal.” CLICK HERE to buy Jenny’s “Louder Than Words”
“I have sympathy for him because he’s sick and it’s awful, but man he’s going to have to take major accountability with many people in his life,” she shared
Charlie claimed on the TODAY show Nov. 17 that it’s “impossible” that he’s transmitted this disease to anyone, and that he’s told every sexual partner — “no exception” — about the condition. The actor said he’s completely aware of the law that it’s illegal to have sex with someone without divulging he has the disease, too. “Having divulged it is the reason I’m in the mess I’m in with having all the shakedowns,” he explained. “I can’t sit here and protect against all that or completely worry about it.”
