The contestants on ‘The Voice’ were front and center for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s MAJOR on-air flirt-fest Nov. 16, and Adam Levine’s team member, Jordan Smith, has dished to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about what it’s like to witness the relationship unfold firsthand.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship has been a major focus point on Season 9 of The Voice, but are the contestants getting worried that it’s taking away from their performances? Jordan Smith tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY why he’s totally on-board with what’s happening and why the romance is a “good time” for all!
For the most part, Blake and Gwen have kept their PDA to the commercial breaks, but something totally epic happened on Nov. 16, when the country singer made a booty call joke about his girlfriend during his critique of Amy Vachal’s “Hotline Bling” performance. “You have to go with the flow in that moment and understand that it is about your song,” Jordan explained for his fellow team Adam Levine artist. “But it is also about the show and we are all active participants and roll with the punches! You know…banter like that goes on between all of the coaches.”
Of course, were quick to point out to Jordan that it seems Blake and Gwen have been having more banter than the rest of the panel this season. “Well, it also happens between Blake and Adam!” the show frontrunner retaliated, and we’ll give it to him — that’s true. But, all in all, he considers any interaction between the judges a fun part of the show. “It is a good time and not always stressful on stage,” he raved. “It is a good time!”
Although Blake and Gwen kept their relationship mostly on the DL during last week’s three live episodes, they couldn’t hold back from flaunting their PDA behind the scenes this week! The No Doubt singer was seen jumping into her man’s arms at the start of the show, and Blake even planted a kiss on Gwen’s temple during another commercial break — so sweet.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Jordan’s reaction to Blake and Gwen’s relationship? Do you think the fact that they’re dating has taken away from the show?
