Lady Gaga is team Holly Holm! The singer was far from sympathetic after Ronda Rousey suffered her first loss on Nov. 14, and took to Instagram to reveal how she really feels about the match — read the harsh message here.
Ronda Rousey has been really taking the heat since getting pummeled by Holly Holm in Nov. 14, and Lady Gaga has joined in on mocking the formerly undefeated MMA fighter. Find out why the 29-year-old feels Ronda totally deserved to be beat!
Alongside a photo of the 28-year-old taking a major punch to the face, Gaga wrote (in all caps), “That’s what you get for not touching gloves!” Her message is in reference to Ronda refusing to touch gloves with her opponent before their big fight, which is deemed unsportsmanlike in the sport.
In a shocking turn of events, Ronda was defeated by Holly at UFC 193, breaking her undefeated 12-0 record. Even though it ended after just two rounds, the fight was pretty brutal, and Ronda was even hospitalized for observation afterward (don’t worry, she’s okay)! “I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support,” she wrote on Instagram Nov. 15. “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I am fine. As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back.”
But, still, as HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Ronda’s pride is completely shattered after the loss, and retirement isn’t completely off the table. “As much as she wants a rematch, she has also told people that she might retire because the scenario of losing was never thought of at anytime,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She has a lot of other things on her plate to achieve.”
UFC president Dana White insisted there will be a rematch, though, so we’ll be patiently waiting for Ronda to use this time to mull over everything that happened so she can get back in the ring!
HollywoodLifers, whose side are you on — Gaga’s or Ronda’s? Do you think Ronda deserved to lose for not touching gloves?
