John Oliver is speaking out — and he has a really strong message to send to terrorists. Two days after the horrifying attacks on Paris on Nov. 13, John went live for his show ‘Last Week Tonight.’ He actually had some choice words for ISIS, and we have to say, his comments were spot on.
John Oliver used his voice for a great cause this week on Last Week Tonight. Since the host’s show is on HBO, he immediately used that to his advantage well said he wanted “to offer you a moment of premium cable profanity.” And with that, he went on a tirade against the people of ISIS who were responsible for the horrific attacks that left nearly 130 people dead and hundreds injured.
Here’s what he said, of course, with some editing for language.
So here is where things stand: first, as of now, we know this attack was carried out by gigantic f–king a–holes; unconscionable, flaming a–holes; possibly working with other f–king a–holes; definitely working in service of an ideology of pure a–holery.
Second, and this goes almost without saying, f–k these a–holes. F–k them, if I may say, sideways. And third, it’s important to remember, nothing about what these a–holes are trying to do is going to work. France is going to endure, and I’ll tell you why. If you’re in a war of culture and lifestyle with France, good f–king luck, because go ahead, bring your bankrupt ideology. They’ll bring Jean-Paul Sartre, Edith Piaf, fine wine, Gauloises cigarettes, Camus, Camembert, madeleines, macarons, Marcel Proust and the f–king croquembouche. You just brought a philosophy of rigorous self-abnegation to a pastry fight, my friend. You are f–ked.
We’d say, he hit the nail on the head. What did you think of John Oliver’s rant? Do you agree? Do you think he crossed a line? Let us know.
