After Ronda Rousey suffered a shocking loss to Holly Holm on Nov. 14, she took to Instagram to let fans know that she will be back despite the heartbreaking defeat. See her message below!
Just one day after Ronda Rousey‘s undefeated record was slashed by Holly Holm, 34, in a major upset at the UFC 193 fight on Nov. 14, Ronda broke her silence. With rumors swirling that the 28-year-old MMA fighter might not be continuing her career following her loss, Ronda thanked fans and reassured them that she will be returning after taking a brief break.
“I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine. As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back,” she wrote on Instagram. Ronda was hospitalized overnight after Holly busted her lip open and knocked her out in the second round, but it sounds like she is doing okay.
Ronda’s statement probably comes as a relief to fans, as it was rumored that she might retire following her shocking loss as it meant she was no longer undefeated. But let’s not forget her amazing feats prior to her first loss — Ronda has managed to take down opponents in just seconds! We’re sure she’ll want another chance at Holly in her comeback!
In fact, UFC president Dana White even said that there will “absolutely be a rematch” between Ronda and Holly. Although Ronda said she needs to take a little time to recuperate, it sounds like she’s prepared to get back in the ring before too long. We can’t wait for her return!
