Blake Shelton has turned from a reality TV judge into a full-fledged hero, saving the lives of four stranded strangers by the Oklahoma River. Find out the full details of Blake’s heroic act!
He’s been a knight in shining armor for Gwen Stefani, 46, but now Blake Shelton, 39, has become a real-life hero by saving a group of strangers stranded near the Oklahoma River, according to a new report. Way to go, Blake!
Late last week, Blake took a trip to Oklahoma, in-between live shows of The Voice, and came across four men in serious need of help. Bryar Blanton, cousin Lenyell and pals Adrian and Josh were at the famous river, near Ravia, when they fell into a mud hole.
“We were at the river looking and slid off into a mud hole for about two hours,” Bryar told E! News. “Then me and my buddy Adrian started walking and Blake Shelton stopped and asked if we needed some help.”
The “Hillbilly Bone” star then tried to get the guys out with his truck, but that didn’t quite cut the mustard, so he had to bring out the big guns.
“He said he’d be back in 15 minutes with his tractor. He came back and got us out and chatted for a minute and talked to us about hunting,” Bryar said. “Blake is an all around good caring guy.” What a dude!
The guys later shared their gratitude for Blake on Twitter, which caught the attention of the playful country star who just had to say something. “No problem,” he wrote after seeing the thanks from the guys. “Now you boys stay outta jail!!! Ha!!!”
“I’ve known Gwen for a really long time,” the singer told Us Weekly. “We went to each others’ kids birthday parties, we share the same management. And Blake I know now from the show. The two of them are both great people. Gwen’s such a great mother and a hard-working mother, too. It’s not easy to juggle The Voice and children — it takes a strong woman. And obviously I’m always in support of that. And I do know what it’s like to go through a divorce myself, and it’s tough! I keep telling them both to stay strong and have fun! Divorce and life is hard enough. If you find someone who makes you happy, you gotta go for it. So they deserve it and they deserve to be happy!”
