Margaret Qualley, 20, is making a real splash in Hollywood with her co-starring role in HBO’s The Leftovers and now being cast in the upcoming Death Note. But, there are many things about her that you’ll be surprised to know… like who her famous mom is!
1.) Margaret Has A Very Famous Mother
Does Margaet look familiar? Well, chances are that’s because you know her mom, actress Andie MacDowell! Margaret is actually the youngest of Andie’s three children, which include her oldest child, son Justin Qualley, who was born in 1986, and her middle child, daughter Rainey Qualley, who was born in 1990.
2) She Started Out As A Model
Margaret wasn’t always interested in acting. Before she got her shot on the big screen, she worked as a model. In fact, Margaret was just 16 years old when she walked her first runway for Alberta Ferretti during New York Fashion Week.
3.) Margaret Is A Trained Ballerina
Margaret spent years training as a ballerina, and even acted as an apprentice a the American Ballet Theater. During her time as a dancer she also studied at New York’s French Academy, and when she was 17 she was offered an apprenticeship with the North Carolina Dance Theater company. However, that’s when Margaret decided to change her focus and began attending London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to become an actress.
4.) ‘Death Note’ Is Only Her 3rd Role
Although the news of Margaret’s casting in Death Note made headlines, she is still in the very early stages of her career. As you might already know, she stars as Justin Theroux‘s daughter in HBO’s The Leftovers. However, she only has one other role to her name, and it was in the indie film Palo Alto alongside James Franco and Emma Roberts. Talk about a lucky break!
5.) Her First Name Isn’t Margaret
Like many other celebrities, Margaret has decided to be known professionally by her middle name. Her first name is actually Sarah!
