The battle is ON between Justin Bieber and One Direction! After dropping their highly-anticipated new albums on Nov. 13, it appears their feud has only grown only more intense as a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Justin and Niall Horan have now started ‘taking jabs’ at each other. Yikes!
Ever since Justin Bieber, 21, and One Direction announced their albums would be released on the same day, Nov. 13, the competition between the two has gotten pretty intense. Now, after months of waiting, their new albums are finally here and it looks like their feud isn’t going anywhere! As the boys continue to battle it out for the #1 spot on the charts, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Justin and 1D’s own Niall Horan, 22, have kicked things up a notch by “taking jabs” at each other’s new albums via text. But is it all in good fun?
“Justin and Niall have been playfully taking jabs at each other with regard to their respective albums,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Justin sent Niall a text and jokingly wrote ‘told ya so’ referring to Purpose beating out Made In The A.M. on the iTunes charts. Niall came back with a sharp response saying ‘It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!’ Of course these two have total love and respect for each other, so it’s all good fun for them.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Justin is currently beating out One Direction on the iTunes chart, with Purpose sitting pretty at #1 and Made In The A.M. hanging on to the #2 spot. It’s also worth noting that the deluxe version of Justin’s album Purpose is the album taking hold of iTunes top spot, while the album’s non-deluxe version ranks at #10 on the chart. Meanwhile, three of Justin’s songs — “Sorry,” “I’ll Show You” and “What Do You Mean?” — are also in the top 10 of the Top Songs chart on iTunes, with 1D’s “What A Feeling” coming in at #10. Not too shabby, guys!
Now that their albums have been released, we’re reminded of a little bet that Justin and Niall made in anticipation of the big day. As you might recall, the boys made a friendly wager on whose album would be more successful upon their release. At the time, a source told HollywoodLife.com that their bet would “include something fun, kind of like a dare, that the loser will have to do.” While we still have no idea what that dare might be, we’re betting that it’s going to be pretty good considering what’s at stake.
HollywoodLifers, whose album do you think better? Justin’s or One Direction’s?
