Justin Bieber Beating One Direction On iTunes After Both Albums Drop

The battle is on, and Justin Bieber is WINNING! Justin and One Direction dropped their highly-anticipated albums on Nov. 13, and Justin has since beaten One Direction at the top of the iTunes charts!

Ever since Justin Bieber, 21, and One Direction announced their albums would be released on the same day, Nov. 13, the competition between the fans has gotten intense. Only one album could make its way to the very top of the iTunes charts, and Justin successfully put the boys of 1D in second place!

It’s been less than a day since Justin and One Direction dropped their new albums, and it’s been the most competitive few hours for Beliebers and Directioners. Both sets of fans want Justin and 1D to do well, so it’s no surprise that both of their albums are at the top of the iTunes charts. Justin currently sits at #1, and One Direction is sitting pretty at #2. Will it stay that way?!

It’s also worth noting that the deluxe version of Justin’s album Purpose is the album at the top of iTunes. The non-deluxe version of Purpose ranks at no. 10 on the albums chart. Great job, Justin!

These albums — which were leaked early — are very near and dear to both Justin and One Direction. This is Justin’s first album in three years, and he wanted to make it a great one. (Read our review of Purpose HERE!) Made In The A.M. is One Direction’s last album before their year-long hiatus, and the first one without Zayn Malik. (Read our review of Made In The A.M. HERE!)

Time will tell if Purpose and Made In The A.M. will stay at the top of the albums chart on iTunes. Adele’s new album, 25, will be released on Nov. 20, and her album is currently #4 on the chart. You can only pre-order it right now!

Three of Justin’s songs — “Sorry,” “I’ll Show You” and “What Do You Mean?” — are in the top 10 of the Top Songs chart on iTunes. Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne’s “What A Feeling” ranks at no. 10 on that chart.
