“It’s really tough for them,” a source close to Gavin told People. “Every day there’s a different story. He is concerned about the kids and wants to keep them safe and is trying to keep all this craziness out of their lives and keep things as normal as possible for them. He’s just all about being the best father he can be for them.”
Divorce is hard enough on young kids, but we can only imagine what it’s like for the kids to hear this supposed news about their dad. Although there’s really nothing Gavin can do to stop the reports from spreading, it’s nice to hear that he’s so worried about his boys and making sure they’re okay.

At the same time, if he really did cheat, we can’t help but wonder if he’s the least bit concerned for Gwen! Although one source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Gavin is fully supportive of Gwen’s new romance with Blake Shelton, that doesn’t lessen the blow of the cheating scandal. In fact, another insider revealed that Gwen is absolutely dreading spending the holidays with Gavin!
“She would love to be able to still celebrate as a family, but she doesn’t feel ready for that and she’s not sure how to handle it,” the insider said. If Gavin is so concerned about their kids, we’re sure he would also like to have the whole family together for the holidays. Hopefully he is just as worried about Gwen so they can work something out for their boys!
Ultimately, though, it was Gwen who pulled the plug on their relationship after finding out about the affair, so who knows if Gavin’s concern for her will even mean anything. Regardless of what happens between them, we just hope to see that their boys will be kept out of it — and it sounds like that’s what Gavin wants too!
