I give Tamar Braxton a lot of credit for pushing herself to perform the team dance on ‘DWTS’ after being admitted to the hospital just a few hours earlier. But for her health, she should pull out of the competition.
Dancing with the Stars is getting down to the wire. There are only 5 couples left and the cracks are starting to show. Bindi Irwin‘s toenails are falling off, Nick Carter has a hip injury and Tamar Braxton was taken to the hospital with pneumonia during the Nov. 9 show’s dress rehearsal. Now, I think Tamar should leave the show — here’s why.

Tamar missed her Contemporary dance with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, so judges scored their dress rehearsal performance (as a 22.) “This is very, very difficult. We have to judge watch we saw. It could have been amazing,” Bruno Tonioli said. “You could see that was a dress rehearsal,” Carrie Ann Inaba said. “Live, she would have brought it,” Julianne Hough said. Val really wanted to interject, saying it didn’t matter what the judges had to say, but host Tom Bergeron cut him off to hear the judges comments.
The team dance paid homage to The Beatles’ “Love” Cirque Du Soleil show and was magical. It was theatrical, beautiful, and visually appealing.
Tamar made it through and well — the problem was after the dance — she looked like she was about to pass out. She was holding her stomach, coughing and breathing heavily. If she does have pneumonia, she shouldn’t be practicing for hours and hours every day, especially with her grueling schedule as co-host of The Real.
She needs to seriously reconsider her priorities and take care of herself. Just as Kim Zolciak had to disqualify herself, I think Tamar needs to do the same.
She’s a great dancer but now it’s the semi-finals, and even young, healthy competitors like Bindi are stressed, sore and hurting. Tamar had a great run but I think it’s her time to go before she pushes herself too hard.
Do you agree with me? Should Tamar resign from the competition?
