Miranda Lambert is leaning on some very important people during a difficult time — her friends. As Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s romance continues to heat up, the country singer celebrated her birthday very low-key with her horse and some gal pals on Nov. 9. Awww!
She gets by with a little help from her friends! Miranda Lambert didn’t do anything crazy to ring in her 32nd birthday (yet), but she did spend a casual day horseback riding with some of her best girlfriends the day before. And despite her ex, Blake Shelton’s, highly-publicized new relationship with Gwen Stefani, the b-day girl seemed to be genuinely enjoying herself — yay!!
Miranda posted a photo collage of her fun day with friends on Nov. 9, and she couldn’t hide her massive smile as she sat atop her horse. Keeping it casual in riding pants, a t-shirt and baseball cap, the “Little Red Wagon” singer looked overjoyed as she posed for photos and proudly boasted some fancy artwork: She’d transformed her horse into a unicorn!
The birthday girl and her two BFFs painted fun, colorful designs on the black and white animal (safely, of course), and added a single pink horn to her head. “Never too old to ride a unicorn…” Miranda captioned her collage. “And thank God for friends that spend the day with you painting your pony! #32 tomorrow #bday #unicornsarereal #sophie #gypsyvanner #glitter #reallifelisafrank.”
We’re so glad that Miranda has found her smile amid everything that’s going on: She just got divorced in July, and her ex’s new relationship with Gwen has really blown up in everyone’s face over the last few weeks. It didn’t help that Nov. 9 was also the first night they appeared on The Voice as an official couple — and there was definite flirting going on! — so getting some distraction from her friends was definitely a smart move for Miranda!

HollywoodLifers, do you think Miranda is handling Gwen and Blake’s romance well? Do you think Blake moved on too soon?
