Mani Monday is fun for trying new trends and seeing colorful nails, but sometimes, classic is best. Check out Angelina Jolie’s nude nails and copy her exact look below!
Celebrity manicurist Emi Kudo was looking for a “clean and fresh” look for the Los Angeles premiere of By The Sea on Nov. 5. Get Angelina Jolie‘s exact nail look below!
Emi told HollywoodLife.com:
“I don’t like to exaggerate Angie’s nails as I like to ensure her natural beauty and elegance comes through. It’s also not in line with her personality to give her bold, crazy nails — she is so intellectual and busy caring about so many others rather than being very concerned with her own nails. We like to keep it simple!”
“I’m aiming to grow Angie’s nails out for the upcoming awards season to make them round and oval.” Emi applied Maxus Nails Base Coat ($18) to even out the nails, cover imperfections and strengthen the nails.
As far as color, Emi said: “Our current favorite is “Ballerina” from CHANEL, and I decided to stay with the same color. This is almost clear with a touch of color. When nails are short, I would normally use something with a bit more color than this one — I always think of total balance with her nail length, outfit, and hair & makeup.”
Emi added: “Clean and fresh is what I wanted for her this day. I never want to represent her nails as ‘a fancy manicure lady’ because that is not her. The shade also perfectly matched her beaded gown.”
Emi topped the manicure with the Maxus Nails Top Coat ($18), which gives an incredibly high shine and protects with ceramic powder and nylon.
“Maxus dries very quickly and applies in beautiful, thin, even coats. Angie has so many people and things that she cares about around her. She is consistently writing or reading, as well as introducing new things to people all the time. This happens even when she get glammed up on such a big day! Maxus always helps her hands to be free with its super quick dry effect, the finishing is super shiny and gorgeous!”
Emi finished the whole look with a Dr. Hauschka body cream. “The hands should be moisturized, but not have an unnatural shine!” says Emi.
