Jessa Duggar had to be rushed to the hospital after she suffered complications during her home birth on Nov. 5. The emotional 911 call made by mom Michelle Duggar has been released — LISTEN now.
Everything did not go according to plan for Jessa Duggar Seewald, 23, after she gave birth to her precious baby boy on Nov. 5. Michelle Duggar, 47, was forced to call 911 once Jessa started bleeding heavily after the birth. Jessa is OK, but it must have been so scary for Jessa and her family!
Michelle made the 911 call, obtained by Daily Mail Online, after the birth of Jessa and Ben Seewald’s baby boy. She tells the 911 dispatcher that “mother is bleeding after birth. We need her to be checked out.”
The 19 Kids & Counting mom says Jessa is breathing and “alert and awake.” She then goes on to note the amount of blood Jessa has lost. “There was quite a bit of blood when the placenta detached, but uterus is hard now,” she says.
“We’re massaging your uterus. Hang in there,” Michelle can be heard saying to Jessa during the 911 call. The dispatcher asks if Jessa is still bleeding, and Michelle replies, “No, she’s better now, just a lot of blood. She’s talking. Her color is good.” Michelle also lets the dispatcher know that the “baby is doing wonderful.”
The dispatcher leaves Michelle with a set of instructions, including wrapping Jessa’s afterbirth in a towel so the doctor can examine it. Ambulances were seen leaving Jessa and Ben’s house on the night of Nov. 5.
Everything is fine now, thank goodness. Jessa and Ben’s baby weighed 9 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. They also revealed the first photo of their little one the day after his birth. He is so cute!
HollywoodLifers, send your well wishes and congratulations to Jessa and her family now!
