The Kardashian-Jenner girls pulled out all the stops to make their mom’s 60th birthday the one to remember, and they did it by making an epic throwback to her 30th! Kris Jenner’s ‘I Love My Friends’ video is infamously goofy, and now her girls did their own version, just for her!
Kris Jenner had to be proud when her daughters rolled the footage on their big 60th birthday surprise. Not only did they pay homage to her (unintentionally) hilarious “I Love My Friends” music video from 1985, but they actually looked good doing it! See the girls and some of Kris’ loved ones (including Caitlyn!) wish her a happy birthday below! There aren’t many ways to top a $2 million Great Gatsby-themed birthday party, but Kris’ daughters may have just outdone themselves with a spot-on parody of their mom’s music video. Kylie, Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Khloe all got together to record a new version of “I Love My Friends,” Kris’ masterpiece from 1985 that showed her driving around Los Angeles, visiting all her favorite shops and besties. The video first premiered on Kim’s website.
Here in 2015, the girls updated the brands and venues just a little bit, and brought in some new faces so they could “embarrass [Kris] a little bit for her new friends.” Perfect. In the original, Kris got tons of her friends and family to happily shout “she loves you!” at the camera — the song itself is a parody of Randy Newman‘s 1983 hit “I Love LA.”
Kris daughters surprised her, and the rest of the party guests, by playing that infamous video, then immediately jumping to their own version after a very 80s-tastic fade cut of “30 years later…” Like their mom so many years before, the girls are all exercising hard at the gym. And of course, Caitlyn is the cherry on top of the whole project by appearing at the end in a bubblebath, sipping a glass of champagne — a total jab at what Kris did at the end of hers. So funny!
There were so many famous faces in that group of new friends that Kris has made. Let’s start with the cutest, though: her four adorable grandchildren yelling “she loves you!” She gets sweet shoutouts from everyone, from Kanye West, to Cindy Crawford, late husband Robert Kardashian, and even Scott Disick! Kris is truly loved, and her daughters made sure she knows it!
