Miranda Lambert, 31, has some big plans in store to help get back at her ex-husband Blake Shelton, 39, for stepping out with new girlfriend Gwen Stefani, 46, right after her big win at the CMAs. She’s hoping to appear on the upcoming season of American Idol, which would be an total diss and both Blake and Gwen, who fell for each other while judging on NBC’s hit competitor The Voice. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE details on Miranda’s big plans!
“Miranda is looking to do something with American Idol this season both by performing on the show and being a guest mentor during the inevitable Country Week. This would obviously be a dig at Blake and a big get for Idol” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY! Miranda had appeared on AI‘s competitor The Voice back when she was happily married to Blake, but now that things are over this would be sweet revenge for the country star!
She also has a pal who’s rooting for her to join AI! “Keith Urban has played a major role on getting this done and Idol producers are looking forward for her to be a guest on the show,” our source continued. Keith’s entering his third season on the judge’s panel, so we’re sure he’d be thrilled to have his Nashville neighbor appear on his show!
Miranda has tried to put on a brave face since Blake and Gwen’s romance went public. On Nov. 5 she told her Instagram followers that “Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me. And my friends. I’m so grateful.”
As we previously reported EXCLUSIVELY, Miranda is moving forward through these heartbreaking times and plans to “focus on her upcoming tour, she’s still got a lot to do to prepare. She’s excited, she’s looking forward to it. She’s keeping her mind on that and not on what her ex-husband is doing, but it’s not an easy time. Blake was ten years of her life, it’s a big deal.”
