Looks like ‘The Walking Dead’ is gearing up to welcome its biggest villain yet. A notorious foe from the comics is reportedly being cast, and Garret Dillahunt really want the role.
Grab your guns and your crossbows — the next Walking Dead big bad is coming to town. For all TWD comic books fans, you know who he is. While the official casting news is being kept under wraps, Deadwood and Raising Hope star Garret Dillahunt, 50, took to Twitter to reveal he wants the villainous role!
Yep, Negan is more than likely on his way to The Walking Dead. The villain, best known in Robert Kirkman’s comics as the guy who viciously murdered Glenn — for real. He has not shown his face in season six yet, but if Garret has anything to say about it, he’ll be the one wreaking havoc on the show.
He tweeted on Nov. 6: “1) It’s true, I am a @WalkingDead_AMC fan. I want #Negan. They are looking at some great actors and will make the best choice for the show.” And the followed up with, “2) So surprised and grateful for all the support my public lobbying has received. Thank you. If not #Negan then something else someday! #WD.”
Garrett also responded to a few fans saying he would “absolutely” love to play the role of Negan and assured fans they would not be “disappointed” with who was chosen to play the character. Let’s be honest — Garret would be PERFECT.
In the comics, Negan infamously kills Glenn will a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire that he named Lucille. Maybe Glenn will survive his latest mess — only to get murdered by Negan. Yeah, Negan’s straight-up EVIL.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Garret would make a good Negan? Let us know!
