There is nothing worse than dry skin. It’s itchy, uncomfortable, sheds, and looks gross. If there’s one thing we will say over and over again, it’s too lather yourself in moisturizer until your dripping. No one wants scaly skin, and you can prevent that.
Before you do anything at all, you must exfoliate. If you just rub moisturizer on dry, flaky skin, nothing will get absorbed and you will not see results. The main thing is to exfoliate using either an exfoliator or a scrubbing brush to get rid of all the dead skin. Then, once you’re fresh, that’s when it’s time to get down to business.
If you have extremely dry skin and body lotion just doesn’t cut it, then you should try out a body oil. The skin absorbs it all and you will fill silky smooth all day long. One of our faves is, Renee Rouleau Skin Drink.
Body lotion shouldn’t be a chore, it should be a habit. As soon as you step out of the shower drench yourself in lotion, and also don’t forget about your hands and elbows. If you’re one of those people that loves lotions strictly based off their scents, try St Ives Intensive Healing Body Lotion in pomegranate — it’s delicious!
