Talk about a speedy recovery! Trevor Noah was rushed to the hospital Nov. 4 for an emergency appendectomy, but ‘The Daily Show’ host has some miraculous recovery powers – and an amazing work ethic – as he’ll be back on the show Nov. 5, even though he’s not able to stand up!
Trooper of the year award goes to The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, 31, who will be back in the seat cracking jokes just 24 hours after undergoing an emergency appendectomy! We were a little skeptical when Comedy Central said in a statement that he’d be back in the chair hosting a new show the next day on Nov. 5, because hey, the guy just had surgery! But Trevor and his network are making good on his promise and he’ll be back in place for his regular nightly broadcast!
The Daily Show’s Twitter page made the big announcement that “TONIGHT! The premiere of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah without Trevor Noah’s Appendix” showing a photo of the smiling comedian. Trevor himself tweeted “Thank you for your love and support. The Daily Show is back on today but I can’t stand up. Tune in 11pm Comedy Central.” That’s fine Trevor, you never stand up on the show anyway and we’re just glad you’re healthy enough to be back with new shows!
Fellow late night host Jimmy Fallon made a joke at his own expense after Trevor’s hospitalization. He tweeted “Hey
@Trevornoah, tell everyone at the hospital I said hey! Get better soon buddy!” making light of Jimmy’s hand injury over the summer. In June The Tonight Show host was hospitalized for 10 days after tripping on a rug at his house and nearly severing a finger. Trevor responded to the tweet “Hey Jimmy. The hospital people said to tell you ‘wrong finger, come back?’ Not sure what that means” making light of Jimmy nearly losing his digit.
HollywoodLifers, do you watch The Daily Show now that Trevor Noah is the host?
