Nobody was caught more off guard about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani going public with their relationship just before the CMA Awards than his ex, Miranda Lambert. The country singer was so devastated by the timing, and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that she’s livid with Blake over the whole ordeal. Get the scoop.
As if Miranda Lambert wasn’t already heartbroken enough about Blake Shelton moving on to Gwen Stefani so quickly…her ex had to go and make his relationship official on what should’ve been one of the biggest nights of her life. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop on how the 31-year-old feels about Gwen and Blake going public right before the CMA Awards!
“She doesn’t understand why they had to make things official that night,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It should have been her biggest night, but all she could think about was Blake being with Gwen. It was so insensitive — she was with his guy for a decade, and this is how he treats her.”
It was pretty apparent before and throughout the awards show that Miranda was upset, and she nearly broke down in tears while performing her song “Bathroom Sink” toward the end of the show. Even when she was awarded one of the biggest honors of the night, Female Vocalist of the Year, she kept her speech short and sweet, and mentioned that she needed a “bright spot this year” following her and Blake’s July divorce.
“The whole romance is eating Miranda up inside,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Especially seeing how crazy Blake is about Gwen and how he has moved on so easily and so quickly.” The relationship did happen rather quickly — it’s been just over three months since the country couple ended their marriage — so we can totally feel for Miranda on this one.
But now that the truth is out there, The Voice coaches are no longer hiding anything. In fact, Gwen accompanied her man to a CMA Awards after party, and they made their public debut as a couple: They were photographed holding hands at the party! We’re totally happy for them, but was it really necessary to do all of this on a night where Miranda was so involved?!
HollywoodLifers, do you think it was right of Blake and Gwen to announce their romance when they did? Or should they have waited?
