Poor Miranda Lambert. It’s bad enough that news of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s romance was thrown in her face right before the CMAs, and now HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that she’s convinced they’ve actually been dating a lot longer than they say they have: ‘She’s not buying their story.’
We really feel for Miranda Lambert on this one. The 31-year-old’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton, didn’t waste any time moving on to a new romance with his Voice co-star Gwen Stefani, and with the relationship now making headlines left and right, Miranda is feeling both heartbroken and completely devastated — and rightfully so! HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Miranda doesn’t believe for a single second that the two have only been dating for a couple of days, and thinks they’re just “trying to cover it up” so as not to look bad!
“Miranda believes something’s been going on between these two for a lot longer than they’re letting on,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She doesn’t buy their story that it’s totally brand new. She thinks they’re just trying to cover it up so they don’t look bad. She’s not the only one that thinks that thinks these two aren’t being transparent. Miranda’s sure the truth will come out eventually, it always does.”
As if the news of their relationship wasn’t painful enough for Miranda, The Voice coaches decided to confirm their relationship just hours ahead of the CMA Awards, which was the same event where Miranda was forced to be in the same room as her ex for the first time since their split. The whole night proved to be incredibly overwhelming for the singer, who nearly broke down in tears while performing.
Even picking up the award for Female Vocalist of the Year, wasn’t enough to cheer her up, as Miranda was reportedly too devastated to enjoy the moment. “She won one of the best awards of the night and she couldn’t even enjoy it. She was just holding back tears the whole time,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Indeed, Miranda made her pain pretty clear when she accepted her award, telling the audience “Man, I really appreciate it. I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you.”
Thankfully, there is at least one good thing to come out of Miranda’s heartbreak: new music! “The only silver lining is she’s getting great material, a lot of great songs will come out of this,” our insider added. So true! Just look at how many country songs are about heartbreak. What happened to her at the CMAs will give her more than enough material to work with down the road — guaranteed. So while we totally understand why Miranda would be so devastated over this bombshell, we can’t wait to hear what songs she comes out with from here!
