Blake Shelton is giddy about his new relationship with Gwen Stefani. In fact, despite losing at the CMA Awards, Blake expressed his overall happiness afterwards, saying that his life is just full of ‘great things’!
Blake Shelton is too smitten with Gwen Stefani, 46, to be bitter! After losing Male Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards on Nov. 4, the 39-year-old took to twitter to congratulate his victor, Chris Stapleton, and boast about all the amazing things “happening in [his] life.” See what he had to say!
“Awesome night tonight,” Blake wrote on Twitter following the 2015 CMAs. “So many great things happening in my life. Congrats to @ChrisStapleton!!!! Long time coming brother…” he added. Hm, quite the chipper sentiment from someone who’s just literally been deemed an award-loser. We have to believe at least part of that “awesomeness” which Blake referred to is his just-confirmed relationship with Gwen! See his tweet below.
Someone whose night was considerably less awesome than Blake’s? Well, his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, 31. Miranda, despite winning her category of female vocalist of the year, was clearly having a tough night. Prior to her big win, she performed her song, “Bathroom Sink,” and as she crushed the emotional tune, she clearly began to tear up.
Her pain continued to be evident during her acceptance speech. Humbly taking to the stage, Miranda thanked audiences and admitted that she “needed a bright spot this year.” Oh, and she was also able to squeeze in a subtle dig to her ex, rocking a bedazzled Chris Stapleton shirt (ya know, supporting the guy who would best Blake moments later). So much shade– and we’re kinda living for it.
Awesome night tonight. So many great things happening in my life. Congrats to @ChrisStapleton!!!! Long time coming brother…
