Congratulations are in order for Luke Bryan! The ‘Strip It Down’ singer just won Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards! Luke thanked the Lord — and his beautiful wife — for winning the prestigious award on country music’s most important night.
Luke Bryan, 39, had one hell of a night. After rocking the CMAs stage with an epic performance of “Strip It Down,” the country superstar took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Even better, he received it from the legendary Reba McEntire! His speech was both joyful and moving, and especially thankful to his wife, Caroline Boyer, of course!
After thanking God and Caroline — he has his priorities straight! — Luke graciously listed all the people who made him a bonafide country music success story. From his band, to his road crew and tour drivers, every single person he deals with in the industry got a shout out. What a nice guy. Luke also made sure to mention his loyal fans, too, who “laid down their hard-earned money to come see my show”
Luke couldn’t stop gushing about his supportive community, and the peers who make him love country music so much. “I don’t want to wrap, they’re saying wrap. I ain’t wrapping,” Luke said to laughs before launching into another part of his speech. “This is the best business in the world with the best people.” How sweet is that?
Luke also made mention of Chris Stapleton, the rockstar who won a whopping three awards during the CMAs. Chris is such a powerhouse, that he won Male Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year in one fell swoop. Luke called him an inspiration! While winning Entertainer of the Year was the highlight of Luke’s night, if not his career, the highlight of ours was watching Luke perform “Strip It Down.” His sexy performance of his sultry love song had everyone in the audience swooning in their seats!
