In her new book, ‘Strong Looks Better Naked,’ Khloe Kardashian makes the shocking admission that she nearly quit ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ in an attempt to save her failing marriage to estranged husband Lamar Odom. See what she had to say!
Khloe Kardashian, 31, came this close to leaving her long running reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as she explains in her new book Strong Looks Better Naked, which dropped on Nov. 3. In fact, Khloe was so serious about quitting the show for the sake of her strained relationship with estranged husband, Lamar Odom, 35, that she “actually went to one of the producers,” saying she needed time away! “At one point, I actually went to the producers and said I needed some time off from the show,” Khloe writes on page 20 of her emotional book. Khloe elaborates that one of the producers, who knew her well, was shocked as Khloe hadn’t asked for a moment of off-time in eight years of doing the show.
When the producer asked Khloe what was wrong, well, she lied. “I told her, ‘Nothing. I just need some family time,'” Khloe said. “But she knew. Any many others on the set suspected. How could they not? But I needed the time. I was living 90 percent of my life in front of the cameras, but the other 10 percent was and is scared.”
Aw, Khlo, we so feel for you. She added that, during the time she was deciding whether or not to leave Kardashians, she and Lamar started to attend couples therapy, where it became clear that Khloe was channeling her emotions into physicality. The therapist told Khloe, “‘You tell me these things in a very matter-of-fact way with very little emotion… How do you manage it?'” Khloe knew the answer in an instant. “‘Cardio!'” she responded.
Do you think Khloe should have quit KUWTK? Would it have helped her relationship to Lamar?
