Does Khloe Kardashian regret being so hard on Bruce Jenner when he announced he was going to change genders and become Caitlyn? Nope, not at all… and she explains why in her new book, ‘Strong Looks Better Naked.’
Khloe Kardashian, 31, is finally coming clean about her harsh reaction to Bruce Jenner, 65, finally revealing he would be transitioning from a male to a female. Near the end of her latest book, “Strong Looks Better Naked,” Khloe goes into great detail about why her reaction was so important… and so raw.
“To be honest, I was upset that Bruce hadn’t told us about it sooner. And many months later, when Bruce was interviewed by Diane Sawyer, I was even more upset,” Khloe explains on page 205 of her most recent autobiography book, “Strong Looks Better Naked.” She continues, “There were so many things he didn’t share with us, things we found out that night, along with 16.9 million other Americans, and that hurt. We were family. Didn’t we have a right to know?”
That’s a pretty good point, isn’t it? But even if you don’t agree, don’t go shaking your finger at Khloe just yet. She continues explaining what went down, why, and how it was the most honest she’s ever been.
“When the family special aired, it was all there, in my words and in my eyes. The pain and anger and hostility. When I get emotional, I get very emotional, and maybe I was too passionate and too vocal, but it was real; it was what I felt,” Khloe explained. “It was my truth without the benefit of distance; it was truth unedited.”
It’s great that Khloe took a few pages to open up about this life changing moment in her new book. Not only for her own peace of mind, but also for Caitlyn, because no matter how upset Khloe was when she found out Bruce would be no more, she was also just as supportive of the woman that came about.
“I want people to understand. This was not about Bruce transitioning into a woman; it was his decision and he had been struggling with it for a long time and I was happy that he had found the answer,” Khloe shares. “It was about my own loss; it was about the pain I felt because he was walking out of our lives.”
Thankfully, it seems that all of the Kardashian and Jenner family members, especially Khloe, could not be any more supportive of Caitlyn than they have been. It may have been a harsh reality for Khloe, but being honest was likely the best way she could get through the shock and move on to the supportiveness. Good for you, Koko!
