Whoa. Did Gwen Stefani just hint that things are heating up between her and Blake Shelton!? In a new interview, the singer opens up about the pair’s flirty Halloween together, admitting: ‘we’re just trying to have fun.’ Is this finally a thing?!
Gwen Stefani is finally opening up about her wild Halloween weekend with Blake Shelton! After the Voice co-stars got super close party-hopping around Los Angeles, Stefani appeared on 97.1 AMP Radio’s Mornings with Carson Daly on Nov. 2 where she may or may not have hinted at the duo’s relationship status. Seriously, what is going on with these two?!
When host Carson Daly brought up the couple’s spooky rendezvous and subtly hinted that they looked as if they were having a good together, Gwen did her best to play it cool. “We’re just trying to have fun, you know?” she responded. Okay, so she doesn’t exactly confirm their relationship — but she doesn’t deny it either!
In fact, the “Used to Love You” singer seems to be opening up more and more about the pair’s relationship these days, even admitting that, like most women, she too thinks the country singer is pretty damn attractive. Speaking in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Nov. 3, Gwen refused to address the romance rumors surrounding her and Blake before adding, “But I think he’s hot, don’t you?” Ummm…duh!
Dating or not, Gwen and Blake have developed a strong friendship over the last few months, as both split from their spouses, Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, within just weeks of each other. “It is kind of crazy, like, we both went through the same thing at the same time,” the “Used To Love You” singer told Ryan. “There’s been so many people that I’ve gotten so much comfort from. Just people coming to me and telling me their story. Not confiding, but sharing, which has just helped me see things from a different perspective and move forward.”
Thankfully, Gwen’s traumatizing split has left her feeling very inspired. “That feeling of being able to write again, that’s everything to me,” she added in her interview with Carson. “Everything about who I am, confidence-wise or my value on myself, is by songwriting. And then I just started writing one after another. I think within eight weeks I had, like, 19 songs! Even in one day, I would write two songs and it was kind of insane.”
