Amy left Karma in tears after she chose to go away for the summer in the epic season finale of ‘Faking It.’ So where does this leave Karmy? Rita Volk tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY what lies ahead for Karma and Amy in season three!
Amy made a huge decision in the season two finale of Faking It that could change her friendship with Karma (Katie Stevens) forever. HollywoodLife.com spoke to Rita Volk EXCLUSIVELY about what’s next for Karma and Amy after that heartbreaking scene, including some possible “resentment” on Karma’s part and more.
Amy finally decided to do what’s best for her and go away for the summer, leaving Karma at home. The two BFFs shared one devastating scene as Karma pleaded with Amy not to go. So after that type of talk, where does this leave Karma and Amy’s friendship?
“I think it’s one of those things where you just put everything on hold. It’s not the end of it. It doesn’t mean they’re not friends anymore. It doesn’t mean that they’re never going to speak again or go back to the way things were. But in this moment in time she’s making this decision for herself to really — for the first time in I think the whole show — to really make that decision for herself and for herself only,” Rita tells HollywoodLife.com. “She’s so adamant about it and kind of sick of everything. We kind of see her just over it all in a way. I think it’s for the best, and it’s a healthy thing to do. She’s putting herself first, and she’s not really focusing on this relationship anymore. She’s focusing on what she needs to do to be herself again.”
At the end of the finale, we’re left with a lot of possibilities. Rita admits that she thinks Karma and Amy can get back to the way things were, but it’s not going to be easy.
“I think obviously there’s going to be some resentment on Karma’s side. Probably, if I were Amy and putting myself in her position, I would probably have a resentment, too. I think eventually they can come back from this. It’s probably going to be very bumpy. They’re not just going to come back from the summer and be best friends again. I think that’s what season three will finally explore.”
We’re not emotionally ready. It’s going to be a crazy season three, Karma fans! Buckle up and grab your tissues! Faking It will return in 2016.
