The world just can’t stop mocking Drake’s bizarre ‘Hotline Bling’ moves! First Justin Bieber, then Doug the Pug, now Bernie Sanders is getting in on the fun, stealing the rapper’s famous moves for his hilarious new campaign video. Watch it here!
Who knew Bernie Sanders, 74, had such killer dance moves? The presidential hopeful gave the world a taste of his dance floor prowess during his appearance on The Ellen Show on Oct. 14, and according to Ellen DeGeneres, 57, he hasn’t been able to stop dancing since then! During her Nov. 3 show, the talk show revealed that she recently got her hands on Bernie’s new campaign video, which shows him doing his best version of Drake’s hilarious dance moves from his “Hotline Bling” music video. We die!
This is too funny! Bernie has apparently gone dance crazy since busting a move on Ellen’s show on Oct. 14. “I think this whole dancing thing went to his head,” she admitted before revealing his “new campaign ad.” In the video, Bernie attempts to appeal to a younger audience by spoofing Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video, which shows him waving a little American flag, shimming next to a beautiful woman and making cell phone gestures with his hands. “Alright Hillary, it’s your move,” Ellen said as the video concluded. And really, if that doesn’t get him votes, we don’t know what will.
Bernie is of course, just the latest in a long line of stars who’ve parodied the meme-worthy music video, most notable among them being Justin Bieber. When “Hotline Bling” came out, the 21-year-old even used Drake’s own moves to help promote his new song “Sorry” on Instagram. Oddly enough, Drake’s moves matched up perfectly with Justin’s song, making it that much funnier to watch.
Justin then went on to poke fun at the rapper again while making an appearance at the Capital FM studios, where he couldn’t resist showing off his Drake-inspired moves. Sadly, not even a talented dancer like Justin could make the “Hotline Bling” video look less awkward. He and the host looked super goofy shimmying around and throwing up the cellphone sign, but then again, we suppose that’s the fun of it — it’s just silly!
