Rachel Dolezal has finally admitted that she was born white– and she’s showing off a drastic new look. The former NAACP branch president dropped by ‘The Real’ to make the (not so) shocking admission that she is not in fact biologically black, all while flaunting a makeover. See for yourself!
Better late than never. Rachel Dolezal, the white woman who had been posing as black while serving as president of the Spokane branch of the NAACP, dropped by The Real on Nov. 2 and admitted what many already knew: she is white. The 37-year-old, who’s pregnant, by the way, said the words so many had been waiting to hear, stating definitively, “I was biologically born white.” Watch the clip to see her dramatic new look!
“You weren’t born black, so when you say you are black,it makes it hard for people to understand where you’re coming from,” cohost Jeannie Mai said to Rachel. It turns out, that’s all Rachel needed to hear to finally say the words that so many have been waiting for.
“Right,” Rachel responded. “And that’s why I said, I acknowledge that I was biologically born white, to white parents,” she added before getting cut off by rapturous applause and cheers from the live audience. However, Rachel did clarify once more that she was only referring to her biological ethnicity. “But I identify as black,” she said.
The interview wasn’t all about grilling, though. Jeannie also added that the year has had “a really bright moment” for Rachel as well, as she’s pregnant with her second child. Cohost Loni Love decided to poke just a tiny bit of fun at Rachel before she left. “So I guess the baby’s black, huh?” she said to Rachel, literally poking an elbow at her side. Rachel, unsurprisingly did not enjoy that little joke. Awkward!
Are you glad that Rachel finally admitted she was born white? Or was that still kinda, well, icky?
