Nicki Minaj is setting the record straight! Many were outraged at the shocking video of the rapper seemingly demanding a woman in a wheelchair to ‘walk,’ but she’s taken to Twitter to explain that it was all a misunderstanding — and to slam those who reported otherwise.
It’s easy for something innocent to get completely misconstrued on social media, and unfortunately, Nicki Minaj learned that the hard way after she posted a controversial video over Halloween weekend. In the clip, which has since been deleted, the 32-year-old uses her costume’s wand to order a seemingly disabled person to “walk!,” but, as Nicki explained after receiving major backlash, the whole thing was really blown out of proportion.
The video quickly went viral, with most people assuming the “Anaconda” singer was making fun of the woman in the wheelchair. But, according to Nicki, it was just her friend in a Halloween costume, and the whole thing was all in innocent fun.
“Lol. That’s NOT a disabled person and u know that,” she tweeted at someone who shared the original story. “Are u that desperate for attention? B***h, u knew. That’s my friend in a scooter. Have a great day. I surely will.” She still made sure to take the video down just in case people didn’t see her response and got the same idea many others did over the weekend.
Nicki looked absolutely fabulous dressed as a fairy on Halloween, although she risked a major nip slip with her cleavage busting out of the low-cut, sequined leotard with poofy white tutu. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any pics of the rapper with her fiancé, Meek Mill, during the fun holiday, but it looks like Nicki had a great time partying with her friends
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the video of Nicki? Do you accept her response on Twitter, or was it still super inappropriate?
