A shocking new report says that Michael Lohan and Kate Major had their two young children taken away temporarily by child services after a brutal argument. Little Logan and Landan are now reportedly under the guardianship of their grandmother until a family court hearing indicates they can return home.
Michael Lohan and wife Kate Major reportedly got in a fight so volatile, the Florida Department of Children and Families was called to intervene on their children’s behalf, according to TMZ. Landon, 2, and Logan, 10 months, were allegedly placed in foster care overnight, until another responsible adult was found to take care of them.
Though Landon and Logan were removed from Kate and Michael’s custody on October 28, the couple now allowed to see them under supervised visits with the kids’ grandmother, Marilyn Lohan. The Florida Department of Children and Families allegedly sent social workers to Kate’s apartment in Boca Raton, according to TMZ, after seeing a reportedly disturbing tape.
In the footage obtained by child services, Kate and Michael are allegedly having a raging fight, right in front of their two young children. The situation was apparently alarming enough that DCF reportedly placed Landon and Logan in foster care overnight, allegedly telling Kate that they would remain there until a “responsible family member” could pick them up.
Michael’s mother apparently rushed to the rescue, immediately flying down from Long Island, New York to pick up her grandsons. Both boys were reportedly placed in her guardianship; Michael and Kate can see their sons, as long as it is under Marilyn’s supervision. A hearing is reportedly scheduled in Florida family court on November 3 to review the tape and assess where to go from there. It may not be so easy, though; the source who provided information to TMZ claims Kate called 911 after Michael showed up to her apartment, banging on her door.
