October 31 was likely the toughest day for One Direction since Zayn Malik left the band. Their last concert of their world tour ended in Sheffield. At the end of the concert, the boys — brothers — let their emotions take over as they reflected on the last five years together.

The boys agreed to take a much-needed break, and many believed this would be the last time fans would see One Direction on stage together. “I can tell you this, we will be back,” Niall Horan told fans, according to the UK’s Independent.

“This is the end of the On The Road Again tour, not the end of One Direction,” Liam Payne promised. Liam fought back tears, and the always playful Louis Tomlinson said, “Don’t cry, Liam. Save some for the other tours.”

If you weren’t already crying, Harry’s emotional plea should do the trick. “Please don’t forget us,” Harry begged. “We will always be here for you, you guys are the most incredible fans.” The boys, including Harry and Louis, hugged on stage.

Niall, who is 1D’s biggest defender, told the boys: “I’ve had a great time, boys. I love you very much and thank you.”

The next step for the boys is their highly-anticipated fifth album, Made In The A.M., which will be released on Nov. 13. The boys have been hit with nasty feud rumors, with reports saying that Harry and Louis can’t stand each other. The day before their final concert, Niall took to Twitter to slam the reports. “Don’t believe anything you are reading. We stand strong as a band and we’re brothers ,can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve been working on,” he tweeted.
