Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber’s New Song ‘Strong’ Was Leaked: Recorded Years Ago – Hollywood Life

Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez: ‘Strong’ Recorded ‘Just For Fun’ 3 Years Ago — Report

Jelena fans, don't get too excited about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's duet on the song 'Strong'...because it may be REALLY old news. The 'new' track was reportedly leaked by accident on Oct. 17, and was allegedly recorded years ago, so an official release may never even happen! Exes Justin Bieber, 21, and Selena Gomez, 23, shocked fans when they seemingly released a brand new collaboration, "Strong," on Oct. 17 -- but, apparently, it was a total mistake. The pair actually recorded the song while they were still dating years ago, and never even meant for it to get out to the public, according to a new report. Wait...so this isn't going to be a thing?! To hear more about Justin Bieber, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!

Revival [Deluxe Edition]

“[They] recorded it over three years ago, just for fun,” GossipCop claims. “It was never meant to be heard. It will not appear on any upcoming album.” “Strong” was played on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio over the weekend, but was mysteriously taken off YouTube and SoundCloud just hours later.

The track actually seemed to tell the story of Justin and Selena’s up-and-down relationship, and many speculated that it would appear on the Biebs’ upcoming album, Purpose, due out Nov. 13. However, both singers’ camps have remained radio silent regarding what the deal is, so an accidental leak is seeming more and more likely.

Still, both young stars are in the midst of releasing new material right now — Selena’s album, Revival, which you can buy here, just dropped on Oct. 9 — so it’s possible they also orchestrated the leak to draw attention to their work. As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported, the song has been “planned for months,” so perhaps the timing of it all was very calculated.

While it looks like this track is nowhere to be found now that management has had it taken offline, there’s still a lot more to look forward to when it comes to Jelena’s careers. The “Good For You” singer will be hitting the road for Jingle Ball concerts at the end of this year, and she’ll embark on the Revival world tour in 2016. Meanwhile, Justin’s next single, “Sorry,” drops on Oct. 23, and fans are still buzzing about his “What Do You Mean?” remix with Ariana Grande. Keep the hits coming, guys!

HollywoodLifers, do you think Justin and Selena should release “Strong” as an official song?
