Katie Holmes is desperate to get more dollars out of Tom Cruise’s multi-millions to make sure her daughter can have the lifestyle she deserves, according to a new report. Her child support is a relative pittance.
It’s been more than three years since Katie Holmes, 36, won full custody of daughter Suri Cruise, 9, from Tom Cruise, 53. Now, a new report claims the child support arrangement of $400,000 a year, isn’t quite cutting it.
It seems Katie is taking one of Tom’s famous lines and throwing it back in his face — ‘Show me the money!’ A new report claims the brunette beauty is taking her ex back to court for more money so she can keep up Suri’s lavish lifestyle.
The Mission Impossible actor has had to pay Katie $400,000 annually for child support for Suri until she turns 18, but that’s not enough anymore. “She’s going to ask that the $400,000 a year in support she currently gets be amended to a higher amount,” an insider told Life & Style. “While Katie’s taking every acting job that comes her way, she doesn’t have the ability to keep her and Suri living the lifestyle that Tom’s fortune allowed.”
While that may be true, Katie also thinks Suri’s growing hobbies and their steep price tags, need to be paid for via Tom. “There’s also the fact that Suri is getting older and needs more money to travel back and forth across the country with Katie, as well as for her dance, skating and music lessons, new clothes, arts and crafts, and tutors. And Suri’s needs will only grow exponentially over the next few years. Katie’s preparing for a courtroom showdown to make sure she gets the money she needs.”
As for Katie, she reportedly is a force to be a force to be reckoned with. The outlet’s source claims, “She’s grown a lot tougher since splitting from Tom. The marriage was suffocating her, but she’s no longer afraid.” Katie is “absolutely certain she will win” and “can’t wait for her face-to-face with Tom in court.”
