CSI has always been that show you believe will go on forever. The show was a game-changer when it premiered in 2000. The show is ending after 15 epic seasons with a super-sized series finale on Sept. 27. Find out who’s returning, who’s not and more. HollywoodLife.com has everything you need to know right here!
1. Who is returning?
Original CSI cast members Grissom (William Petersen), Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) and Captain Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) will all be returning for one final case. The devilish Lady Heather (Melinda Clarke) will also make an appearance.
2. Who is not returning?
Unfortunately, Nick Stokes (George Eads) and Warrick (Gary Dourdan) will not be returning. George opted out of the finale, according to our sister site TVLine. Sadly, Warrick died in the season 8 finale.
3. What time does it start?
The CSI series finale will kick off at 9 p.m. ET. It will be a two-hour finale.
4. What brings the gang back together for the finale?
A huge explosion at the Eclipse Casino helps brings back the cast. “Catherine is back — this is her casino [that she partially owns]. Grissom [is] back. Sara Sidle will be heading up the case. It will bring everybody back to try and solve what’s going on,” series creator Anthony E. Zuiker told TVLine.
5. Grissom and Sidle’s reunion will be ‘awkward.’
Grissom and Sidle’s relationship was one of the many highlights of the show when Grissom was still in Las Vegas. However, Jorja admits to the outlet that their reunion will be “awkward, because we kind of broke up.” We’re sure they’ll find a way to get over it for the sake of the case! Buy ‘CSI’ on Amazon here!
