Kim Zolciak is feeling much better but she’s STILL in the hospital after suffering a stroke. The ‘DWTS’ contestant gave an Instagram update on Sept. 25, thanking followers for their support, and revealing she was going in to have a procedure done. Is everything okay?!
Poor Kim Zolciak! The 37-year-old expected to be released from the hospital on Sept. 24 after her stroke, but one day later, she’s still hooked up to IVs in the bed…and preparing to go in for another procedure. Get the latest on her condition and see what she said to thank her fans for all their thoughts during this difficult time.
In her latest Instagram, Kim looks super tired and worn out (believe me, we don’t blame her!), and we learned that she still has some work to be done before going home. “Going in for one more procedure, things are looking up!” she wrote. “don’t let the oxygen scare you, it’s just protocol.” The RHOA star didn’t get specific about what she’s having done, but it definitely seems like she’s relaxed about the whole thing, so hopefully it’s minor!
Before signing off, the Dancing With The Stars contestant made sure to recognize her fans for all their support while she’s been going through all of this. “I wanted to THANK all of you for the love!” she added. “I feel so overwhelmed with all the texts, comments, etc. I’m so grateful to have all of you! #TheyDontCallMeToughieForNothing.”
Kim returned home to Atlanta on a red-eye flight from LAX after performing live on DWTS Sept. 22, and just shortly after she arrived, she lost feeling on her left side, along with the ability to speak. She was rushed to the hospital, and revealed on Instagram the next day that she’d suffered from a TIA (mini stroke).
Luckily, the mom of six gained her feeling back the day of the stroke, and even had hopes that she would be able to leave the hospital on Sept. 24, but clearly, she’s still there. No official comment has been made regarding whether or not she’ll compete on DWTS Monday, but with a health condition AND the lack of practice time, it’s not looking good. But how sweet is her partner, Tony Dovolani, for not leaving her bedside all week long?!
While the lack of practice time will probably make it impossible for Kim to return to the show, HollywoodLife.com spoke to a doctor who actually revealed it probably wouldn’t be dangerous to do so. “If Kim has been evaluated and put on blood thinners, there is no reason she can’t return to her regular routine,” Dr. Bruce Lee, MD, told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She could return to the strenuous activities of Dancing With The Stars if she gets the OK from her doctors.”
We’ll continue to update you on Kim’s condition, but tell us, HollywoodLifers: Do you think she’ll get out of the hospital today?
