Seattle is in mourning. Residents of the Emerald City took their social media accounts to share their grief following the collision of a popular tourist vehicle and a charter bus, killing four foreign exchange students. So heartbreaking.
Twitter lit up with messages of prayer and sorrow after four students from Northwest Seattle College lost their young lives when an amphibious vehicle from Ride The Ducks swerved into the bus they were riding in. The students – most on foreign exchange programs with the school – were on their way to Safeco Field for a day of fun activities as part of their orientation program when the horrific accident happened on Seattle’s Aurora Bridge.
Following the Sept. 24 tragedy, the city’s residents are bonding in grief and prayer for the victims of the crash. In addition to the four students killed, sixteen others are hospitalized. Here is what some of the messages of support and condolence that Seattlites shared on their social media:

Ride the Ducks is a popular and beloved tourist attraction and guide service. The company put out a statement on their Facebook page following that accident that said “Ride the Ducks of Seattle wishes to express our sincerest condolencesto the victims and their families involved in today’s tragic accident. “
“We have always placed our passengers and the public’s safety as our highest priority. At this time, authorities are handling the specific details and our company is fully cooperating with all investigating agencies to uncover the cause of the incident.” they added.
