OMG! Kim Zolciak had the scariest medical encounter after returning home from her ‘DWTS’ performance on Sept. 22, when she suffered a stroke, losing feeling on one side and her ability to speak. Get an update on her condition here.
Dancing with the Stars is really taking a toll on Kim Zolciak. The mother of six caught a red-eye to Atlanta from Los Angeles after the live show on Sept. 22, and had a stroke shortly after arriving. She scarily lost all feeling on the left side of her body, and was unable to speak. Will she be able to compete on Monday’s show?
Breathe easy, everyone, because it looks like Kim is going to be okay. She took to Instagram to update fans on her condition, revealing that she would be released from the hospital and everything seems to be back to normal with her body.
“The last 24 hrs have been whirlwind!” she wrote, alongside a photo of herself in a hospital bed. “I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS). I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke) the left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone.” She went on to thank her husband, daughter, Brielle, and Brielle’s boyfriend for their “quick reactions,” ultimately saving her life, then updated everyone on how she’s doing.
“I have 100% of my feeling back,” she explained. “THANK GOD. Still in the hospital but I just know I’m getting released today.”
Kim was coming off a great week on DWTS — she survived two eliminations and had a major improvement in scores from her Week One dance. Obviously this is a major setback, and the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is losing major practice time, but what’s OF COURSE most important is her health. We’re wishing you a speedy recovery, Kim!
