Six weeks before he allegedly killed his wife, Mark was arrested over an alleged case of brutal domestic abuse, reports KTVN. In Aug. 2015, Mark and Debby’s daughter, Raquel, reportedly joined her father to allegedly confront Debby outside a Nevada home. Mark allegedly pulled his wife out of a car, grabbing her by her neck, before reportedly dragging her inside a house. Inside, he and Raquel allegedly savagely beat Debby up.
They reportedly assaulted her so badly, they broke her nose. Mark even allegedly strangled his wife until she nearly passed out! The two were arrested and both were charged with kidnapping and battery. In addition to that, Raquel was charged with vehicle burglary while Mark received a charge of domestic battery by strangulation.
Court documents reportedly obtained by KTVN show that, while kidnapping is usually a “no bail” charge, both Mark and Raquel were granted bail by a local judge. His was set at $40,000, while Raquel’s bail was $30,000. They were both ordered to stay away from Debby, an order that Mark clearly disobeyed.
Debby was reported missing on Sept. 22. The police tracked her down to her Raquel’s apartment in Sparks, Nevada, where Mark held her hostage. After an intense stand-off, the authorities finally broke in. Unfortunately, both Debby and Mark were already dead.
While more details come to light, the friends of family are shocked by this unthinkable end to Debby and Mark’s life. Debby’s friend, Karen, posted a message on Debby’s Twitter account, saying that she promises “to carry on our message against abuse.”
