After the long intro showing everyone who’s who and who’s from what seasons, ‘Survivor: Cambodia — Second Chance’ got intense, right off the bat. The challenge began just ten minutes in.
Right away, all 20 Survivor alum headed to Cambodia and were split into two teams: Bayon and Ta Kao, and the first challenge began: both teams had to race to gather supplies from the supply boat, then swim to a bag of rice. Which ever team got to the rice first, got to keep it!
Team Ta Kao took the lead right away; the first-ever runner up of the game, Kelly Wiglesworth, was first in the water and her teammate Woo caught right up when she got tired and got the rice! The team immediately got working on their shelter, and Spencer and Terry formed a friendship right away — something that seemed like a smart move for Spencer this time around, and Terry was interested since his kids told him Spencer was a good kid… okay. Vytas tried making friends right away with the ladies, since people thought he tried to manipulate them on his season; Shirin didn’t like it, and neither did Abi, but she pretty much was over everything, and I was already over her attitude. Another one that stood out was Jeff, who clearly was realllllly out of the loop. Basically, everyone immediately went into old school and new school. Old school meant building, working hard; new school was more about the strategizing. Oh yeah, also, Kelley found the first idol clue, advising her where it was hidden at the challenge.
As for Team Bayon, Jeremy started playing the game right away, making an alliance with Keith, Joe and Savage. Savage also told Joe that his kids were in love with him — what’s with the adults fawning over the young guys? Ugh. Anyways. Fish felt out of place right away, just like he did before, because he couldn’t really do much. However, he looked super sketch when he went off looking for he idol while the rest tried to build a fire. Speaking of, Joe was the first to do so!
Welcome To Joega
Next up was #Joega… yes, yoga run by Joe, which was nice for all the girls. But that wasn’t all the toga going on — Vytas tried hitting on all the girls by doing yoga and it was really uncomfortable. And they needed to get comfortable because it was time for the first challenge, which mimicked the first-ever challenge, carrying flames through water, basically being a race. It came down to Wiglesworth (Team Keo) V. Joe (Team Bayon) and Joe won it! Wiglesworth was heartbroken that 15 years later, she let her team down, again.
Oh and also, in the slyest move ever, Kelley had to actually grab the idol in the middle of the challenge and didn’t get caught! Anways, it was off to Tribal Council where it was pretty clear that it came down to a popularity contest: Abi V. Vytas. The rude brat versus the creepy man?
And Vytas was out — looks like he’s brother will have the upper hand. Bye! What did you think of Survivor? Whose team do you like right away? Let us know!
